Brief Answer:
Severe nerve function compromise.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Symptoms you describe indicate worsening of sciatica and severe nerve function compromise.

Epidural injections main purpose is to relieve the pain.

Since there is muscles weakness, means that the basic condition that is causing your symptoms is progressing ( herniated disc disease, spinal cord stenosis, or spondylolysthesis ).

It is necessary to get reevaluated clinically by a spine specialist and by new imaging studies (x-rays, MRI) of your lumbosacral column in order to understand better your condition.

Surgery may by necessary.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
