Brief Answer: Geriatric hypothermia Detailed Answer: Thank you for asking! Geriatric hypothermias are very common. It is because of lower basal metabolic rates at old age. Also cardiac history of arrest or bypass also increase the odds for it. Anaesthesia is also a risk factor your brother has been through many a times.I want you to know that hypothermia can be accidental or intentional, primary or secondary or therapeutic. What you need to do is to focus on preventing further heat loss, rewarming the body core temperature,Remove any wet clothing, and replace it with warm, dry materials. as it will lead to the odds for cardiac dysrythmias and severe complications like ventricular fibrillations. Right now temperature of 95F or 35 C is not that bad providing the circumstances.it would be alarming if it drops down to 32 C or lower in which case you will need to hush to ER. Right now just precautionary measures and doing what you are already doing will help him out. Take care and dont forget to close the discussion please. may the odds be ever in your favour.
