Brief Answer: DISC HERNIATION Detailed Answer: Dear sir Hello Wishing you a speedy recovery I have gone through your medical history in detail. You are suffering from low back pain with disc herniation for last one year . Recurrence of pain after initial relief needs further investigations & treatment In my opinion you should do following things 1. Take some ANALGESIC+ MUSCLE RELAXANT medication regularly 2. Add some chlordiazepoxide+ amitryptylline combination 3. Take some bed rest & avoid vigorous physiotherapy for about 10/15 days 4 If pain still persists , go for a repeat MRI LUMBOSACRAL SPINE , to see status of disc herniation. 5 If disc herniation has increased , consult your neurosurgeon ,for complete neurological examination & further treatment . You may need SOS surgical decompression if disc herniation has increased or it is pressing significantly on nerve . 6 You can also apply local analgesic creams / infrared heat for pain relief . Hope this answers your querry Thanx Dr XXXXXXX k XXXXXXX Director Deptt. of neurosurgery
