Brief Answer:
Muscle relaxants will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are suffering from what we call the industrial back ache. The first step is to ensure that you maintain an appropriate posture while working on the computer. Take frequent stretch breaks and drink lots of water. Discontinue using pillow while sleeping straight. Do not lift heavy objects, especially after bending down. Eat a healthy wholesome meal which should satisfy your minerals and proteins requirement.

The most essential and long lasting remedy is exercises. There are certain back strengthening and neck isometric exercises that you must learn from a physiotherapist and perform them at home or work whenever possible. You can also undergo a weeks session of traction at your physiotherapist's clinic.

Last but not least, if its unbearable take medications or muscle relaxant like Tolagin 4mg prescribed by your physician. And if it has been long standing illness visit your orthopaedician and clinically-radiologically establish a diagnosis to commence definitive treatment. An MRI scan will help in detecting the exact pathology.

I hope this answers your query.

Thanks for giving your time. I would like to tell you I have been already doing most of the things that you have suggested i.e. appropriate sitting posture, taking frequent brakes, drinking approx. 3 litres of water daily, not using pillow for last 5 years, not lifting any heavy weights, eating a balanced healthy meal suggested by a dietician and also doing exercise(started a few days ago). I don't feel the pain while standing and walking. But as soon as I sit, I start feeling strain and pain in back(lower back especially). When I sit(especially on a hard surface), I feel my weight on my hip-bones. I don't know whether this has anything to do with the back pain. I have even started not using mattress while sleeping. The cause of my back pain is chronic constipation, bloating, wrong sitting and lying postures and carelessness. I got physiotherapy sessions for 4-5 days and it gave me some relax for few days, but it started again. Please help me.

Brief Answer:
Can be inflammation of coccyx.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The cause of pain during sitting can be constipation and inflammation of coccyx. You can use a doughnut pillow to sit on and avoid constipation by using laxatives. Taking pain killers and muscle relaxants will also help.
Do take at least 60,000IU of Vitamin D3 once a week with milk. Direct exposure to sun is also recommended.
Continue physiotherapy and medicines. You will feel better in next few weeks.
Hope my answer is helpful.
