Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain

Slip disc, Degenerative spine
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Thanks for the query.
Does the back pain radiate to the legs ?
Any pain tingling or numbness in the legs ?
I would like to advise you that this could be a slipped disc which can occur in a degenerated spine due to old age. It is quite common.
Kindly avoid getting up from the bed upright, but do turn to one side and then get up from the bed in that posture.
Avoid bending forwards, lifting weights.
Take pain killer muscle relaxant like Tablet Diclofenac and Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days over a meal. Apply hot water bag to the painful regions.
If the pain does not subside on following these precautions, you may need to get an MRI of your spine to look for a slipped disc and the level of nerve compression.
Kindly do answer my queries for me to be in a better position to help you.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
Regards,
Dr. Aashish Raghu

Thanks for the prompt answer.
Sorry it took so long to answer your queries. Neither the pain has radiated to the legs nor tingling and/or numbness in the legs.
I went to Wegman's pharmacy; it does not have Thicolchicoside and Tablet Diclofenac needs prescription. Is it possible to send a prescrition online?

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
I'm sorry I won't be able to send a prescription online because it wouldn't work as I am not registered to practice anywhere else other than in XXXXXXX where my registration has taken place.
You can take part the counter Tablet Paracetamol or Acetaminophen 1000mg twice a day which is a very safe Medicine and gives relief. Continue with the hot water Bag application or heating pad application.
Kindly follow the precautions and also get an Xray lumbosacral spine to look for any degenerative changes.
I hope I have answered your query.

Dr. Aashish Raghu
