Brief Answer:
This is standard practice .

Detailed Answer:
Hi ,
I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.

Cortisone injections - epidural injections of steroid are standard practice at many places if the patient is not improving by medical treatment and is not candidate for surgery. In my practice , I give epidural cortisone injections quite frequently and my patients do respond well to the injection.

Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
