Brief Answer:
Local causes should be ruled out first before systemic consideration

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Unilateral pitting edema is due to local causes. With rash and 3 wounds on the leg, and DVT ruled out, i would say venous insufficiency is the likely cause. Lymphedema can also be the cause of this. Musculoskeletal conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, baker's cyst rupture or gastrocnemius muscle can also lead to such discomfort.

Talk to a vascular doctor and let them sort it out for you. Also systemic causes should be considered too like heart problems, kidney problems etc.

I hope it helps. take good care of her and of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
