Suggest Treatment For Lump In The Neck Area

default
Posted on Thu, 30 Jul 2015
Question: These are lumps/bumps/blisters on the left, where my tonsil used to be. I have never seen these before and I don't know how long these have been there. This is probably unrelated but I have been running recently, breathing very hard and later have been hoarse and creating some phlegm.

I suppose there are 2 questions in one. First I'm pretty worried about the lumps and secondly what should I do to limit the hoarseness after breathing hard in exercise.

lump in the neck region

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

It is good that you shared both issues together as both of these can be related. However it would have been more helpful if you had shared picture of those lumps you talked about. Also that wet her are they stiff or soft, any redness around them? Mobile? Approximate sizes?

These lumps in the location you mentioned can be lymph nodes and can be secondary to that throat symptoms you have shared.

You need a thorough ENT examination. One to know about nature of hoarseness and shortness of breath. Second to know whether or not, biopsy is needed? As such lumps can be biopsies to know nature of swelling.

Meanwhile try using anti inflammatory drugs along with anti histamines. Also recommended will be gargles with a mouth wash or saline Water. Anitbiotic may be needed if accompanied with fever.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
