Question : I have an upper molar that I am waiting to have a root canal on. I am on antibiotics and have just noticed a rather large lump in my gum above that tooth. It does not hurt. Do you have any idea what that might be? Never experienced that before. Thank you.

Abscess
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
The large lump in your gum could be an abscess which might required to be drained with a small incision. Continue to take antibiotics as prescribed, it should settle down within a week
I wish you good health
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
