Suggest Treatment For Lump On The Jaw Line

Question : In Tuesday July 12th I went to my doctor because I was concerned with a lump I thought I felt under my jaw line on the right side. I explained this to my doctor, he felt my neck and told me he wanted me to get blood work done as well as an ultrasound on my thyroid. This was not where I originally felt the lump, but upon further self examination I can feel what appears to be a large lump laterally from the right side ofmy thyroid. My doctor did not tell me what could be the possible cause of this, other than a thyroid nodule but gave no further explanation. All he said was nodules less than 1cm werent of much clinical concern, but he did not tell me if he thought mine was that small. I am extremely concerned, as the first thing I found in my research was anaplastic thyroid cancer. This is very scary and I will get my ultrasound and results next week, which is a long time to wait for clarification on this problem. I would just like to know givennmy symptoms and blood work if it is possible this is anaplastic thyroid cancer and if I should be concerned.
