Suggest Treatment For Lump On The Soft Palate

Question: Hi Doc,

I have developed some kind of small lump in the upper mouth area.

Attached is the picture of it.

Could you please suggest what it is and how i can treat it.

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have reviewed the Images.

It seems like an aphthous ulcer.

How long since you have it? Do you have any symptoms?pain?burning?etc

I just observed it yesterday and i don't think so it was there for long. I don't have pain or any other issue.

It could either be a small retention cyst due to blockade of gland duct secondary to trauma. I suggest you to just observe it for a few days. It should resolve.
Topically you may use either antibacterial mouthwash or chlorhexidine gel, twice daily.
