Question : About 8 years ago i had a vasectomy and 3 years ago i noticed a lump under my left testicle . I went to a urologist and had an ultrasound done which came back normal , he stated it was scar tissue or something in that sort . Recently i checked it and i believe its a little larger. Their is no pain only a little tender if i squeeze it . Its right behind the bottom of my left testicle .

Brief Answer:
It could be scar tissue or enlarged epididymis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone Vasectomy 8 years back and have noticed lump behind your left testicle 3 years ago which has slightly increased in size very recently.

You have already consulted Urologist and on clinical examination he suspected it to be scar tissue .Ultrasound scanning is reported to be normal

The incision and site of vasectomy is always higher up in the spermatic cord and not very close to testicle .Looking at the site of the lump being under the testis I think it is unlikely to be scar tissue but enlarged epididymis due to stagnated sperms in epididymis .This can be confirmed by Ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum or aspiration of a fluid from the lump and microscopic examination of the aspirated fluid .

Since you have no pain there is nothing to be worried about it .You can take pain killers when needed .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
