Question : Hi, I am 76 years old and have several health problems among then lung cancer which I have succesfully kept under control (althoug I lost two lobes of my lung).
My present and very embarrasing problem is that I have little control over my bowels. Also there is some bleeding which seems to be external.
My last colonoscopy was two years ago.

Brief Answer:
May be hemorrhoids
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
It is good to know that you have conquered lung cancer. This bowel problem seems unrelated.
As colonoscopy two years back was normal, this is unlikely to be something like cancer. Most probably hemorrhoids. They can cause this type of symptoms.
I would suggest a office examination of the rectum, which should tell us the diagnosis. Then appropriate treatment can be given, so that it saves you the trouble.
Hope this helps.
Regards
