Question : Hi Doc, I just wanted to know if this is a swollen lymph node. It appear 2 days ago, it seemed to get smaller already. I just wanted to know when should I be concerned of this. it is found at an area near my anus below the testicle. Thanks.

Hi Doc,

Thanks for the quick reply.

1. I have shaved that part maybe a month ago already.
2. There is a slight pain, but can be ignored. It feels like a cyst or something.
3. I don't have any systemic illness.

Is it possible to have a swollen lymph node in that area?

* This seems more of sebaceous cyst after this narration .

* There is no lymph node in this area as shown in figure .

* Recommendations at present

- Keep the part clean with antiseptic liquids , dry .
- Wear loose , clean , cotton inner wears .
- Avoid tight jeans .
- Take care during next shaving period not to injure it .

- No medications required at present .
- Just keep a watch on the size of the lump , appearance of any color change or
discharge of fluid from it on regular basis .
