Question : I am suffering from badly swollen calf and feet (endema) and have been taking Bumetanide for about one week.
Tonight I woke up to discover that the whole bottom of my bed was damp - moisture is passing through my skin, mostly through the back of the ankles (where there is no swelling) - is this good or bad ?

Brief Answer:
Lymphedeama

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but it seems that you are suffering from lympedema which is due to impaired lymphatic drainage .. Diueritucs can only help drain accumulated lymph fluids for a short period of time..
However the fact that fluid is leaking through your skin is a bad sign which means that your skin has been stretched out for a long time and it is starting to lose its integrity ..
I would recommend elevating your leg above the level of your heart most of the time together with wearing compression stockings . Also you will need to visit a doctor to scheudle for lymphatic drainage possibly through massage or physiotherapy.. I hope I answered your question. if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion..
