Question: My Mother has stage 4 Lymphoma that has matasticized to the brain. Oncology told us the lymphoma has become resistant to chemo and only offered us Radiation but said it would only prolong the enevitable outcome shortly.
Would ot be worth my time to explore a second opinion?

Brief Answer:
Hello. Yes a second opinion can be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear.

I have gone through the details. I can understand your concern. So I am sure there is a drug that can be given to check the lymphoma and life can be prolonged slightly. However, as it is a resistant one, response rate will be low. Radiation is another option.

Second option is marrow transplant, if the patient is fit for it. Long term survival is of course not possible.

Thanks and regards. Please go for another opinion.
