Suggest Treatment For Meniscus Tear In Knee

Meniscus tear may need arthroscopic surgery
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and it is difficult to tell if you will need surgery. If on MRI you have a grade 3 meniscus tear then surgery is only solution. If there is grade 1 or 2 tear then you can wait and watch. Meniscus tear at 50 years of age are usually associated with degenerative changes. Without surgery they heal well. Only if they causes severe pain or locking of knee then you need surgery.
Surgery is done through arthroscopy and you can be discharged on same or next day. There is no need for bed rest.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
