Brief Answer: Following medications would help her: Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX Thank you for posting your query. I have noted that your wife has migraine, and the current episode of headache has gone on for four days running! She can take Rizatriptan tablet for pain relief. I usually give a dose of 10 mg. If that does not help, then, she can go to a nearby clinic and take tramadol injection. In addition, she should also be on preventive medications to reduce the severity and frequency of headaches. Options include flunarizine, propranolol or topiramate tablets. I hope my reply has helped you. I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information. Thanks Doctor. I went to visit a renounced hospital(Emergency ward) where they have also given the same medicine as you also prescribed: 1. Tramadol 2. Emeset She had taken the injection almost at 4:30pm. after that she had taken complete rest seeping in dark room. but she is saying the pain did not reduce. The pain is almost similar as it was in 4:30pm that is before the medicine had taken. Pain is concentrated on Right side of the forehead down to Side of the Eye. Would you suggest out any remedies or further Action/Guidance.

Brief Answer: Steroid injections may be tried. Detailed Answer: Thank you for getting back. The next step would be to use steroid injection, such as dexamethasone, which can be injected in the vein. This is stronger than tramadol injection. Best wishes, Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
