Brief Answer:
GERD needs management

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. with history of acid reflux and nexium use discontinuation, this burning sensation is more likely a gastric discomfort. Ranitidine dosage should be increased and other proton pump inhibitors must be considered. However you should know that medications alone dont help enough and One needs complete diet and lifestyle adjustments for complete relief. losing weight is the mainstay of treatment. Reducing caloric intake , regular exercises, eating small frequent meals and avoiding triggers always help.Avoid processed canned foods, spicy foods, fatty foods , chocolates etc. Delay lying down after meals for at least 2 hours. keep the head side of bed elevated for 8 inches at least.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
