Question : I am having a mild pain in my chest near my throat...feels like I'm sore from exercising, which is not the case.The first time I felt this way was at noon yesterday and same feeling just now happening again

Your symptoms could be related to inflammation or a musculoskeletal pain.

This kind of pain is not typical of any cardiac issues.

For this reason, I would recommend trying Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. If these drugs help relieve the pain, it would be in favor of the above possible causes.

If the pain persists, despite trying the above drugs, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X-ray study
- a resting ECG and cardiac enzymes
- complete blood count, CRP, ESR for inflammation.
