Question : Hi, I had ecg and it showed probable lvh....However, 2D Doppler Echo report was normal thereafter..... I had mild hypertension...Doctor prescribed me concor am 5 daily....I m taking medicine since one year...I Hv a home BP monitor in which BP comes normal both readings usually less than 130/90. If my echo is normal why ecg shows probable lvh....28 years old...Plse guide...

ECG is only a tool of diagnosis . It has to be followed up by clinical examination and other tests.
Left ventricular hypertrophy most commonly develops due to hypertension(high B.P) or cardiac pathologies (cardiomyopathy) . The 2D echo has ruled out cardiomyopathy.
Do not worry much about the LVH in the EKG. Go for regular B.P checkups .Continue the medication as prescribed.
