Question: Please redirect to Dr. XXXXXXX Tayal
Hello Doctor, as we already communicated, my wife is taking bed rest now. Its been 3 week, and she is not getting any pain. She always wear full length knee support all the days except few minutes to do some pressing and knee bending exercises. Sometimes while she is moving from one side to other side during sleep on the bed(with knee brace), she is feeling burning near to thigh bone. Do you think is symptom of worsening of prosthesis material or is there any improvement?

Brief Answer:
Not suggestive of further worsening.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The absence of any pain is a good sign. The feeling of burning near the thigh is likely to be mild nerve compression at the level of lower spine. This can be related to change in posture also. It should improve with a light massage and Vitamin B12 supplements.
This is not suggestive of any further worsening of the prosthesis. Do continue with the rest and exercises. Wait for 2 weeks more and then consult your orthopedician for investigations and see of he allows to remove the brace after that.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
