Suggest Treatment For Mild Tenderness In Right Testicle

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Apr 2015
Question: I've had a mild tenderness(only at one spot, and radiating to right side of the belly) in my right testicle for about an year now. When it had started I consulted a general physician who advised an ultrasound which came out normal. The ultrasound and urine tests were done after taking levofloxacin for 10 days. The problem has neither worsened nor improved since. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
See a Surgeon or Urologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Please let me know was the Ultrasound done for the Abdomen only or Scrotum also.
I suggest you should firstly see a Surgeon or a Urologist who can examine you as without examining you it is very difficult to say what it is. Simple examination can reveal many important things.
Then an Ultrasound can be done for Kidney, Ureter, bladder and scrotum if the examination does not clinch the diagnosis.
By your history it could be an epidiymal cyst in the scrotum or Inflammation of the spermatic cord or a Varicocele or a small stone stuck in your Ureter. There are other differential diagnoses also that come to mind and most of them can be ruled out by examination.
Do not worry and schedule an appointment with a Surgeon or Urologist and your problem would be resolved.
Feel free to ask any further queries you might have on this issue.
Take care.
