Question : i have hepatosplenomegaly with fatty liver grade 2, i'm 54 yrs old. what are the precautions and other things i should take care of?

Hi Mam,

I understand your concern.

Fatty liver is absolutely reversible if certain precautions are carried at right time.

1.Weight loss generally reduces hepatic steatosis, expect 10% weight loss initially.

2.Patients with fatty liver should not consume heavy amounts of alcohol.

3.Vitamin E 800 IU/day improves liver histology.

4.Omega-3 fatty acids tabs Once a day for 3 months will help.

5.Consume oats at least 50 gm once a day for 2 months.
