                                            most probably a benign issue...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I noted that you have an acute presentation of bowel complaints - frequent bowel movements and occasional mucous in the back ground of external hemorroids. In view of the short presentation, it is most likely a benign condition perhaps related to an infection. In addition, hemorrhoids may be contribute to add mucous in the stools.
I understand it is quite a stressful moment. But I wouldn't be overly worried about this bowel issue right away. I recommend you continue probiotics for couple of weeks more. Concentrate on adding some more fibers to your diet. And drink some extra fluids. Should this symptom persists say for more than a week then I will order a stool test.
Hope you understood the plan of action. I'll be available to clarify your doubts if any.
Regards
