Question : My 40 year old son has multiple lumps on left leg next to and on Tibia. Burning pain in leg, keeps him awake at night. Has had this since August. Now lump in other leg as well. Went to Dr., did X-ray, inconclusive, requested an MRI, denied by insurance. Unable to stand or walk for any length of time, therefore not working at this time. Company wants clearance from a Dr, they won't until MRI. Insurance says not enough medical evidence. 3 Drs, 2 of whom are Orthos, have requested the MRI. Situation getting worse....any suggestions. Thankyou

Hello,

Multiple lumps on the leg with burning pain can be a benign mass with mild nerve compression. Proper investigations are needed to find the nature of lumps so that the line of treatment can be decided. MRI scan is needed. Meanwhile you can get FNAC of the lump done to rule out any malignancy. Till then only rest and mild pain killers can be recommended.
