Question : I had surgeries on my right hand in 2009. Since that time I began to notice muscle loss and deformity in that hand. I have been to numerous hospitals and specialist, they all say the same thing, they have no idea. Anything you can think of.
Brief Answer:
Can be a nerve injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The muscle loss and deformity in the hand after a surgery can be due to a nerve injury or compression. You can get a nerve conduction velocity (NCV) testing and MRI scan to find out the cause of your deformity.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
