Question : i just tore my right arm muscle above the elbow by lifting somethng heavy. what do i do??
Brief Answer:
Sling to support- no movement at all...
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
The first thing is to put the right arm in a sling anchored around the neck. No movement at all. No self study by you or the relatives/friends.
If the swelling is increasing you can do cold/ ice fomentations and/or apply crepe bandage over the swollen are if you have it at home.
Visit the ER, get the clinical /physical check up done to ascertain the extend of the injury. MRI may help to get the internal damage.
Further treatment will depend upon the extent of the tear.
