Hello.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I read carefully your query.
There are some possible causes for muscle spasm on chest and upper abdominal area.
The most common ones are bad posture and unbalanced exercises.
The muscles responsible for keeping the posture are the upper back muscles, shoulder muscle, pelvis muscles.
For a good posture is necessary to have a combined strength and flexibility in these muscles.
Keeping a bad posture (Habitual Slouched Posture ) can cause problems in all these muscles.
Slouching forward stretches and weakens the back muscles and cause shoulders to round forward. This happens if you stay sit in an uncomfortable position hours for long( leaning forward and to one side ) or sleeping in an uncomfortable position .
You should pay attention to your posture.Do exercises to balance the strength of your muscles (in your case to strength the muscles on the left side ).
Do stretches of muscles before exercising and after.
Exercises to strength the muscles on your left shoulder with help to keep it in place.
Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water because dehydration makes muscle spasms worse.
Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question.
Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
