Question: Hi, I am a 75 year old male, 6 ft. and 215 lbs., have blepharospasms and could be developing some neurogenic problems such as muscular weakness. My eye problem is very specific in that it consists of points of bright light that swirl around in my visual field. Each spot has a light tail that that fades out. They are moving. Brief Answer:
Ophthalmological examination needed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone very carefully through your query. It seems that your problem could be due to glaucoma or raised eyeball pressure. You need to visit an ophthalmogist and get a tonometry (measurement of intraocular pressure) done. The doctor would also be able to look inside the eye and check if there could be a problem with the retina. I would insist you not to ignore it.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
