Suggest Treatment For Musculoskeletal Pain After An Indent In Right Rib Cage

Question : my 12 year old daughter woke up this morning and near her right rib cage its indented a little, she had a slight pain but nothing serious. is there anything we can do --is this something to be concerned about?

Get done chest x ray first.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
By your description, I don't think anything serious.
But better to get done chest x ray to rule out any rib related pathology.
So get done chest x ray.
If x ray is normal and no rib pathology is detected then no need to worry much.
Apply warm water pad on affected site.
She can also take simple painkiller for pain relief.
The pain is mostly musculoskeletal pain.
