Brief Answer:
Folliculitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You seem to have developed a condition called folliculitis or furuncle inside the nose. The nose lodges a million bacteria mainly staphylococcus which causes infection of the hair follicle. When this follicle inflammes, it tightens the mucus and stretches causing severe pain. If left untreated it can progress the pain further.

I suggest you to take MOTRIN/ADVIL 200mg dose, three tablets as one dose now, and every 8 hours 200mg tablet, one tablet, as one dose for next two days. This keep the pain away. Besides if you have over the counter antiseptic like Fusidic acid or neosporin you can apply thin film inside the nostrils both sides.

ER might cost you a lot instead go to local clinic/Urgent care which charges you much less and prescribe you oral antibiotics like AMOXYCILLIN.

This is the ideal treatment and way forward for you.

Brief Answer:
Submandibular lymph node

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

That is lymph node that is swollen because of moderate to severe folliculitis. As I said oral antibiotics are needed for your case. The lymph node will get better with MOTRIN.
Please take the said measures and you shall be alright in three days.
