Brief Answer:
should decrease with time

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

SSRI s including celexa are associated with possible gastrointestinal effects such as those you are describing- nausea and heartburn

Some persons may complain of constipation or diarrhea, change in appetite and vomiting.

Normally these side effects decrease by week 3 to 4 in most persons, in some by week 2.

The nausea can sometimes be alleviated by using the medication with meals.

You can try to use reflux meds and lifestyle changes to help with the reflux.
Examples of medications are prilosec, prevacid , protonix or nexium

Lifestyle changes for reflux are: (1)using small meals. Instead of large infrequent meals,it is advised to use small meals frequently

(2) reduce the use of spicy/ acidic/ fatty or fried foods this would include tomato, citric fruits, mints, chocolate, peppers

(3)reduce the use of carbonated drinks

(4)weight loss of any excess weight

Summary: (1)normally effects decrease with time
(2)use with a meal may decrease the effect of the celexa
(3)lifestyle measures and medication may help with the reflux

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
