Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Nausea (feeling like vomiting) and decreased activity or energy is most common related to an gastritis or gastroenteritis.
Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach and gastroenteritis is inflammation of the stomach and intestines.
Gastritis would cause stomach upset, nausea and also maybe vomiting. With gastroenteritis, diarrhea would also occur along with the other symptoms
Treatment: (1) meds such as pepto bismol or dramamine would help reduce the nausea.
These would be available over the counter.
(2)probiotics , either on their own or using yogurt with probiotics
Probiotics help with gastritis. They would also help with diarrhea if this occurs
(3)may want to use bland foods in small amounts. If he uses a large amount of foods or fried/spicy/acidic foods, it may make nausea worse
If vomiting occurs then he should hold off food for a few hours till the symptoms decrease.
(4)if vomiting occurs then may need to use oral rehydration fluids such as pedialyte or gatorade
(5)rest is also important
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
