Brief Answer:
pregnancy or hormonal disturbances

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Scanty and short duration of menses are either due to pregnancy or due to hormonal disturbances.
Since your symptoms are suggestive of pregnancy, then you should get the urine pregnancy test done.
If negative, then you should get your thyroid hormone levels done.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
