Posted on Wed, 29 Jun 2016
Question: I was nauseated for several hours yesterday and finally threw up. My stomach felt better, but I still have a fever. Today, I'm not nauseated, but my stomach and my back hurt and I'm very uncomfortable. It feels as though my insides are raw.

Brief Answer:
Food poisoning can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

As the pain is also in the back, gallstones or kidney infection should be ruled out.
Especially if the pain is in the upper right abdomen. If so, you should have abdominal ultrasound and blood work done.
If you feel any burning while urinating or urinate more often than usually, urine analysis should be done as well.
Otherwise, you may assume that this is kind of food poisoning. In such case, you may wait and see. The symptoms should slowly subside in a day or two. In that time, you should avoid any fatty, spicy or fired foods.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
