I am feeling better now. All the symptoms have gone away; I am just tired.
Take symptomatic treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
Probiotics contains bacteria (like lactic acid bacillus) which are helpful to restore our normal intestinal bacterial flora and they are not drugs but manufactured as supplements.
Mostly they devoid of any side effects but some times they may cause some digestive side effects like gas trouble or bloating, allergic reaction and very rarely stomach infection.
Your light headiness, numbness and chills could be because of this side effect for which I will suggest you to continue using anti-histamines (benadryl or levocetrizine 10 mg) twice daily for symptomatic relief.
Take tab.vertin (betahistine 16 mg) or tab. stugeron forte (cinnarizine 25mg) for the relief of light headiness with plenty of water with fruit juices.
Discontinue using this new brand probiotics further.
However, you should go for routine blood works (CBC with differential counts,ESR) if your chills sensations or mild short of breath persists even after 24 hours of symptomatic treatment to rule out the chances of any infection.
Consult some local doctor or GP if symptoms persists longer.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Dr.Sandip Kabra
