continue with Tylenol, need workup
Detailed Answer:
Welcome XXXX at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I appreciate your health concerns...
Do you have diabetes or hypertension?
Based upon the history you have provided it seems to be musculoskeletal pain which is common in old age. But it is very important to rule out other causes too. I really appreciate to get answers of following.
Is there any hand weakness and numbness with neck pain?
Have you ever tested your thyroid hormones?
Are you taking any other medicines?
Have you ever done the x ray and MRI of spines and knee? If yes, do send me report.
All you need is to stay calm and avoid any exertion. You should really get the x ray of your neck vertebrae and of both knees to look for age related changes. There is need to check your RF factor, CRP levels along with FBC.
Continue with Tylenol and consult rheumatologist for proper examination.
If pain is not getting controlled , you can increase the dose of Tylenol up to 1g. Daily calcium supplement and weekly vit D injection in milk will be very useful to you.
Hope it helps.
