Question: Hello, i am a 25 year old female, my cycle is always off and i haven't had it in several months. For the past week or so I have been very fatigued. I do have sleep apnea but i've been much more tired than usual. two days ago I was in bed literally all day with a Migraine, my body aches mostly in my lower back and pelvis. I feel dizzy at times and my temper flares more than usual. My extremities fall asleep very easily and I've been having night sweats. I have no fever, no rash...no obvious signs. Do you have any idea what might be going on?

Brief Answer:
I suspect more than one underlying cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. You seem to be exhibiting symptoms of more than one condition, and I would like to segregate them all out and put them across to you. But before that I hope you understand that these are only assumptions and all only to be considered for laboratory investigations, which will then confirm the diagnosis.

+Fatigue, migraine, lower back pain and pelvis pain: These symptoms can be related to a hormonal imbalance which is most likely present due to the additional fact that you have not had your period in 7 months which is also unhealthy and needs to be corrected at the earliest.

Advise: Please get all your female hormone levels checked and meet a gynaecologist who will help correcting them and also prescribe medications which will help you to have a withdrawal bleed and from there on help in controlling your menstrual cycle to help it to regularise

+Fatigue, tiredness and extremities falling asleep easily: Usually indicate nutrient deficiencies (e.g. vitamin B12 deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, etc) and so I would strongly recommend a check on this along with hemoglobin levels, vitamin B12, vitamin D, etc.). Also, vitamin B12 deficiency is common in women and vegetarians

+Fatigue, easily tired, body aches, temp flares: Can be associated with anaemia. And so as recommended above, a check on your haemoglobin levels will be required.

Note: I would also like to add by educating you on one point. Menstrual irregularities almost always have some underlying condition to it. Conditions like infections, hormone imbalances, chronic conditions (e.g. diabetes), etc; can all cause menstrual irregularities. But they can all be treated and so all you need to do is to approach a doctor and get diagnosed and treated. This will help you to live a healthy life and also help you to have a safe and healthy sexual and reproductive life later on as you are young now.

I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
