Suggest Treatment For Nipple Cracks With Redness And Pain

Question: i had a cut on the nipples. liquid was oozing out there was redness and pain....i asked a family doctor and took augmentin 625 for 5 days the wound has healed but still the cut has chapped skin and new skin has not come up and when dried skin comes off it bleeds...shuold i apply some ointment for fast healing

Hi

Apply moisturisers two to three times daily to prevent excessive drying which will aid in healing. You can also consider a mild steroid cream like cortisone over the affected areas twice daily for faster healing. Discuss with your treating doctor before starting steroid cream.
