Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

Normally foreskin of penis retract fully in non erected state. But in some case it do not retract fully, like in phimosis or short frenulum.

These conditions need attention only if it causes problem in urination or sex. In treatment for mild phimosis stretching exercise is indicated. In this foreskin is manually stretched 2-3 times per day with mild force to widen its opening. It is used only for mild phimosis and take several months to show improvement.

For excessive phimosis and for short frenulum surgical treatment like circumcision and Z plasty is indicated from plstic surgeon.

I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow ups.

Wish you good health.

Thanks doctor. Can you suggest the stretching exercise? Does it need further medical examination to follow exercise?

Brief Answer:
See a doctor before stretching...

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Thanks for follow up.

It is better to get medical examination by plastic surgeon to rule out severe phimosis and short frenulum, as stretching is useful only in mild phimosis.

Stretching method: You can either grab each side of the foreskin opening (with the foreskin forward) and gently pull on each side of the opening or, even better, insert the ends of two fingers, even the little fingers and pull them gently apart. Stretch the opening in this way until it feels uncomfortably stretched but not actually painful. You can use Vaseline for lubrication.

Wish you good health.
