Question: hello, I want to ask about my daughter's injury, she fell yesterday while running up and down a slop in the supermarket, she bleed mainly from left nostril for about 2 minutes, quite a lot and I managed to stop it. The swelling in between her eyes and on bridge of the nose while bruising at the side for the nose and little bit under the eyes . Swelling make the eyes look small and nose wide. I did took her to A&E but they said that they cant do anything just yet and I have to wait for the swelling to go down first. I am going out of my mind thinking what if its not a nose injury but something more serious. Could you please help.
Thanks

Please, upload an image for review!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this fall your daughter sustained. Am pretty confident the A&E persons found no emergency or life threatening conditions nd that’s why they allowed you to return home. However, I will like to review this area myself to understand what exact the problem is. From the image, I will make suggestions and also state what my thoughts are.

What does it look like, fractured or broken nose, just soft tissue injury?? I am worried obviously, that's why I am sitting here at 12:49 AM trying to find out some answers. As I said she had hurt her nose twice before, both falls but never this bad swelling or bruising.

Brief Answer:
This is soft tissue injury, only!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is soft tissue damage only and there are little reasons to be afraid. I have again looked at the images and this is for sure nothing too threatening. I understand your worries and concerns but be reassured that all is okay.

I wish you well. let me know if you have further concerns even after these reassurances, which for real are very genuine and objective.
