Suggest Treatment For Nose Blockage And Coughing

Question: Hi Sir,
I hv been sufring frm severe cold ,sneezing ,nose blockage & coughing problem for 10-12 yrs.Repiratory & headache problem has been started for last 1 yr.Last yr a general physician had diagnosed sinus by examining my X ray.Respiratory problem is occuring every now and then.Recently I had gone to ENT Dr. who has suggested for CT Scan. and also has prescribed some medicines.Till now I have not yet started medicine.
I am uploading CT Scan Images ,Report & Dr.'s Prescription. Please guide me regarding this. as I have not discussed CT Scan Report with Dr.

Hi Sir,
I have gone through your CT Scan, images, reports, prescription and query. It suggests that you may be suffering from the deviated nasal septum with spur with left maxillary and bilateral ethmoidal sinusitis.

To my patients with similar condition I suggest septoplasty with functional endoscopic sinus surgery. Prescription given by your doctor is good and completely related with your disease but I think you may benefit from surgery.

How safe this surgery? what is risk factor in this?how much effective is this?will this cure my disease completely?
I have heard that it may occur again,is this true?

Are their other options in medicines other than surgery?
can i continue these medicines for longer period without surgery?
will my problem aggravate with time and harmful for my health?

For DNS no other option

Hi Sir,
I have gone through your follow up query; and suggests you that there is no option for the DNS other than surgery.
As such no risk in this surgery. It is 100% effective surgery if done by experienced surgeon. No recurrence in the case of DNS but chances of recurrence in the polyp some times. But go for surgery under experience hand. You can use these medicine for longer time but under the supervision of your doctor. Condition can be aggregated if neglected medically as well as surgically.

If it possible can I wait for 1-2 years for surgery? Will sneezing,cough cold,headache problem completely cured after this surgery?
I am suffering from running nose problem throughout for many years, so my main concern is treatment of cough & cold.
Only for the last 1-2 years I am having breathing problem that too on and off.

Is it worth going for surgery?if yes, then how long it takes to recover completely after surgery and how much it will cost?

I have gone through your follow up query; and you can wait for 1-2 years for surgery.
Sneezing may not be completely cured after this surgery because it may also relate to allergy, other symptoms may reduce to zero level.

Yes, it is worth going to surgery. It takes about 7 days to recover completely after surgery and cost may vary from 30 thousands to 1 lakh.
