Posted on Tue, 18 Oct 2016
Question: I have been diagnosed with nummular eczema. Doctor suggested soaking in 1/4cup of bleach in tub of warm water. Is this useful or whistling in the wind? The bleach is burning the heck on my skin which is sensitive as is.

Brief Answer:
Avoid irritants

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I am not versed with the fact that bleach can help in nummular eczema. Any irritants which causes burning or irritation of any sort should be avoided in eczema.

Instead applying Calamine lotion or aloe vera based moisturizers would be useful.

The more hydrated the skin is more helpful it is.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.
