Question : I've had intermittent episodes of throbbing pain at my right occiput for several weeks. Chiropractic adjustments, ibuprofen, no change. Comes on suddenly, randomly, May last less than a minute, few minutes, or hours. Accompanied by stiffness and tenderness in right side neck and trap muscles. Also have been abnormally air headed, unfocused at work, pounding heart intermittently, hot flashy. Side note, gums in right side were bleeding easily when brushing/flossing several weeks ago, been rinsing with hydrogen peroxide which cleared that up. No tooth pain, but know I need a crown replaced that side.

                                    Brief Answer:
Not related to tooth or gum problem, consult a Neurologist..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for the query..
You symptoms are pointing towards Occipital Neuralgia that can be due to compression or trauma to the nerves supplying the area, but it can be narrowed down only after a proper examination by a Neurophysician and an MRI or CT scan.
It is not due to your crown or gum infection so it is not related to it..
For now take pain relievers after consulting a local physician if it can help..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
