Brief Answer:
onychoschizia, emollient and biotin tablet

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Welcome.

I am so sorry to hear about this nails splitting in halves. I will recommend that you send an image to us for review.
Based on the information, I feel you are suffering from onychoschizia. It includes splitting, brittle, soft or thin nails.
The usual cause is repeated wetting and dryness.
Loss of moisture is an important cause of this.
Some times internal disease and vitamin and iron deficiency causes this.
Apply emollient ( such as petroleum jelly or Cetaphil, to improve nail hydration) and take biotin tablet daily. ( See doctor get prescription)
Avoid wetting and drying your hands frequently. Avoid the use of cosmetics and/or chemicals on the region. Be more careful and even use protective gloves if required to prevent injuries.
Hope this will help you.
Take care
