Question : I contracted herpes 2 orally about six months ago. I would like to ask if I can transmit this disease by sharing a drink, using the same cup, or sharing a fork to eat with? Also what is the possibility of transmitting the disease by closed lip kissing? Thank you for your answer! XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
You can only transmit if you have active sores!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.
If the herpes is in remission, you are not contagious. You can only transmit when you have an active sore. In all, live normally when no sore is present and when you get a sore, avoid all direct contacts with others and sharing instruments.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
