Question : have had a cold for about a week. I now have a clogged left ear and pain behind it running down the back of my head.
Brief Answer:
Ear is connected to the throat by means of a tube called Eustachian
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The ear is connected to the throat by means of a tube called Eustachian tube. So whenever you have a cold, the ear can also get clogged, leading to congestion and the pain you describe.
Please take steam inhalation with a decongestant like vicks added to it and also a liquid or oral decongestant containing bromhexine and guaphenesin. If there is no improvement, you may need an antibiotic and be required to consult your doctor for this.
Regards
