Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

Based on the history, you have shared, it seems as if you are suffering from sciatica.

In post menopausal age, the bone resorption due to low calcium and vitamin D is a common problem with ladies. If any of such has caused, soft bones and collapse of vertebral discs, in lower back, that might have lead to pressure over sciatic nerve which supply back of buttocks, thighs and lower legs.

The common steps towards management should be, to visit a neurosurgeon and get a detailed evaluation done. You may be asked to get radiographs of lower back, that is lumbar spine done, and if not conclusive than CT or MRI can also be asked to be done.

Meanwhile try using good analgesics, like acetaminophen along with muscle relaxants like orphendrine. You can also start supplements for calcium, vitamin D3 and bisphonates, even without waiting for their blood levels to arrive.

If the pain and problem persists, you may be advised for surgical options which include lemenectomy, to reduce pressure over nerve and release it's entrapment.

During all this time keep on using, your thyroid and lipid medicines. Try avoiding strenuous activities and over strechting of legs. Limit driving manual cars, as frequent use of paddles may exacerbate the symptoms.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.
