Question : I swallowed my daily pills while lying slightly onto my left side, since I have major pain and discomfort on left side of throat which generates up into my ear and nasal passage on left side. I have drank, eatin, took heartburn medicine and have had no changes. The pain shocks a bit worsening for a short period but it decreases a little to the constant pain which is not tolerable at all. Idk what to do please help me.

Brief Answer:
Best to meet an ENT, but here are usual management steps

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Such cases have been reported and in most cases tonsils have been irritated from contact with the ingested medication, requiring simple management steps:

+Sips of cold water
+Liquid diet
+Avoid hot drinks and food
+Anti-inflammatory medication (powdered and mixed in water)
+Gargle with BETADINE solution (oral mouth wash)
+Gargle with pain management medications (e.g. DISPIRIT-MD)

But I would first recommend a visit to your ENT doctor to confirm the diagnosis, and get the treatment from him/her directly, because this is only an online consultation, and a physical examination is mandatory in such situations.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
